Unlike the previous book, which had substantial continuity from chapter to chapter, this book treats the numerous topics in a manner which does not always fall into a seamless narrative. Such is the nature of “more advanced topics.” This is, primarily, a theoretical book; for the most part I am analyzing how things work, and developing a priori methods for Preface xiii designing them.
